This past weekend Alex and I took a quick trip to Bamberg, Germany. A while ago I read about a festival they had and thought this was the perfect opportunity to check it out. What I didn’t realize was just how big the festival really was. There were miles of beer and food tents throughout the streets of the old town.

We walked around most of the day exploring the town. We grabbed lunch at one of the stands while listening to the live band. Then sampled their famous rauchbier (or smoked beer) that kind of tastes like bacon. In the afternoon they had a jousting competition in the middle of the river. We ended the evening with some delicious popcorn. It was a nice, fun, relaxing weekend.
