It’s official! Alex and I are moving to Europe! Staring in February 2016, we will be making the big move to Cologne, Germany. Alex’s company is entrusting Alex to start up the European business and they will be sending us over there for 2-5 years. We are very excited for our new adventure!

Here are 5 interesting facts to also get you excited about Cologne 🙂

• Cologne is the fourth biggest city in Germany and is located on the Rhine River
• Kölsch is the local beer brewed in Cologne. It is served in 8oz glasses and continuously refilled until you decide you’ve had enough and place your coaster on top of your drink.
• Cologne has a huge festival called Carnival which starts in November and ends with a huge celebration every February. With parades and parties on the street, it is one of Cologne’s most popular attractions.
• It took 632 years to build the “Kölner Dom” or the Cologne cathedral which is the largest gothic church in Northern Europe.
• Every July Cologne hosts the “Koelner Lichter”or the “Cologne Lights”. It is the largest musical firework display which attracts thousands of visitors every year.
