At the beginning of February, Alex and I decided to look for a new apartment. We never really loved our first apartment and were hoping to find something a little nicer. So one Friday afternoon we went and looked at 5 different places. There were of course pro and cons to all the apartments but once we walked into the 4th apartment we knew it was the one.

It’s a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom furnished apartment with a nice big kichen/living room area. But the first thing you notice when you walk inside (besides the extremely long hallway), is the view. It’s amazing! Our last apartment we were on the ground floor and I always felt like people could see right into our apartment. This apartment is on the top or 5th floor (with an elevator, whew!) and we can see everything from up here. Even a little piece of the cathedral. And just the other day, five hot air balloons flew past our window.

Another thing I love is that the apartment is so light. Our old apartment was always pretty dark so we had to have the lights on all day. Now, we barely need to turn the lights on at all.

And the best part about the new apartment…our new address, Brüsseler str. It has umlauts! How many people can say they’ve lived on a street with umlauts? 😉 But in all seriousness, it’s only been 3 weeks but we are so much happier here. A least once a day one of us will say “I love this apartment.”
